Biographical Information[edit]
Yoshinobu Suzuki was a outfielder on the same college team that included Taisuke Watanabe, Isao Hirono and Motohiko Sato. He later managed Toshiba to win the intercity industrial league tournament titles in 1983. Suzuki also managed the Japanese national team in the 1979 Intercontinental Cup, 1980 Amateur World Series, 1981 Intercontinental Cup, 1982 Amateur World Series, 1985 Intercontinental Cup, 1987 Asian Championship, 1988 Baseball World Cup and 1988 Olympics. He made the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame ballot in 2023.
