Biographical Information[edit]
Yoshimasa Oya pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball and for the Japanese national team.
Oya represented Japan in the 1975 Asian Championship. The Crown Lighter Lions drafted him in the third round of the 1975 NPB draft.[1] Oya won the ERA title of the minors Western League in 1977, and pitched 53 2/3 innings with a 4.83 ERA for the big club in 1978. He didn't pitch any games in the next year, then announced his retirement after the 1979 season[2]
