Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Yoshihiko Kodama played in Nippon Pro Baseball and for the Japanese national team.
Kodama played for Japan in the 1963 Asian Championship. [1] He played for the Sekisui in the industrial league after college. The Hyogo native turned pro in 1964 with the Tokyo Orions. However, he didn't play well in the NPB, as he only played 190 games in five seasons with a .211/.256/.246 batting line. His batting average was never more than .240 in his entire career, and Kodama announced his retirement after the 1968 season. [2]
