Yoshida is a village in Chiba Prefecture which was absorbed in the city of Sosa, Chiba in 1954. It is located 20 miles west of the Prefecture's capital, Chiba, near the coast of the Pacific Ocean whereas Chiba is on the other side of the peninsula, on Tokyo Bay. Shigeya Iijima was born here.
