Biographical Information[edit]

Ying-Shan Wang pitched in the CPBL for 2 years.

Wang was drafted by the Uni-President Lions in the 3rd round of the 2010 CPBL Draft, but he didn’t sign. The Brother Elephants then took him in the 3rd round of the 2012 CPBL Draft, and they soon traded him to the Lamigo Monkeys for Po-Hsuan Keng. Wang had a 5.14 ERA in 8 games in the minors in 2013, and he also pitched one game with the big club. Wang then recorded a 7.71 ERA in 9 games in the minors in 2014, then the Monkeys released him. The CTBC Brothers picked him up, but Wang only pitched 2 games with the big club while having a 6.11 ERA in 17 games in the minors.He was released again after the 2015 season, and his professional career ended.

Wang’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 91.9 mph) curveball, sinker, slider, forkball and changeup.

Overall, Wang was 0-0 with a 20.25 ERA, pitched 2 2/3 innings and struck out 4 in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
