Biographical Information[edit]

Yi-Pao Li played in the TML and the CPBL.

Li represented Taiwan in the 1986 World Junior Championship . The Taipei Gida signed Li when the Taiwan Major League was founded in 1997. The Nantou native didn't play like a rookie, batting .344/.365/.452, and led the league among local players in hits and batting average. He also won the Best Ten award as an outfielder. In 1998, Li improved his slugging, hit a career-high 5 dingers with a .290/.332/.382 batting line. Li was still productive in 1999, hitting .286/.350/.352 and was selected into the All-Star Game first time in his career. The star outfielder bounced back to a .326/.382/.412 batting line in 2000, and participated in the All-Star Game again. Li never took back his good contact after this season, as he only collected a .257 batting average, and this stat fell to .209 in 2002. When the two leagues merged in 2003, Li's condition was still unable to get better (he was now 34 years old), and the First Financial Holdings Agan released him at the end of this year. Li then became a coach for the Qiang Shu High School from 2011 to present (2023).

Overall, Li had hit .288/.342/.375 in seven seasons in the CPBL and TML.
