Biographical Information

Pitcher Yeralf Torres played in the Atlanta Braves minor league system in 2013 and 2014. He began his career at just 17 years old. He was signed by scout Rolando Petit.

With the DSL Braves in 2013, he was 1-0 with a 4.14 ERA in 17 games (seven starts), striking out 48 batters -- and walking 36 -- in 37 innings. In 2014, he was 0-3 with a 5.09 ERA in 15 games (four starts) between the DSL Braves and GCL Braves K-ing 47 in 35 1/3 frames.

He died in a traffic accident at just 19 years old.
