Biographical Information

Yasuo Ishii was an outfielder who represented Japan in the 1998 Baseball World Cup, batting .222/.349/.278 with 7 walks in 10 games; he fielded .933 as the starter in left. Only Yusuke Nishizawa had more walks for Japan. He played for Nippon Steel Yahata in the Industrial League after high school.
