Biographical Information

Outfielder Yao-Yuan Hsu played in the CPBL and TML for 3 years.

Hsu was drafted by the Kaoping Fala in the fourth round of the 2002 TML Draft, and he hit .208/.283/.229 in his rookie year. When the two leagues merged in 2003, Hsu was assigned to the First Financial Holdings Agan and he hit .177/.238/.215 in 75 games. His batting line improved to .274/.314/.377 in 2004, but he then went 3-for-22 in 2005. Hsu was involved in a game-fixing scandal after the 2005 season, and he was banned for life.

Overall, Hsu had hit .214/.269/.279 with 86 hit and 5 homers in 4 seasons in the CPBL and TML.
