Biographical Information

Yanet Moreno was the first female umpire to work the Cuban Serie Nacional, Cuba's highest level, doing so first in the 2006-2007 season. She had played softball and baseball, having to retire from Cuba's women's baseball teams at age 25 due to age limits. She then went to the National Umpire School in Cuba. She worked the 2010 Women's Baseball World Cup, 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup and 2022 Women's Baseball Americas World Cup Qualifier. In 2023, she was part of the first all-female umpiring crew in Cuban Serie Nacional history.
