Biographical Information

Yaichiro Sakurai was a P-2B for Keio University; in 1903, he was the first Keio pitcher to beat Waseda University in the early part of their historic rivalry. He later was president of the Mita Club in Japan. In 1960, he was inducted to the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame.
