Biographical Information[edit]

Ya-Ling Tsai has played for the Taiwanese women's national team.

Tsai debuted in the 2017 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, pinch-hitting for An-Chi Yang and singling off Nanami Ono. She became Taiwan's main first baseman and finished the event 5-for-9 with 4 walks, 2 steals, 5 runs and 3 RBI in 5 games (3 starts) but did not play enough to qualify for the batting leaders. She handled 18 chances error-free for the Silver Medalists. [1] In the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, she backed up Chia-Hui Yang at 3B and went 3 for 7 with a double, four walks, three steals, three runs and two RBI in four games, fielding .818. Taiwan made it to the finals for the first time. In the Gold Medal Game, she batted for Yu-Chuan Tu late and was retired by Akino Tanaka then finished the day at 1B. [2]
