Worcester Quakers

In 1901, the Worcester Farmers of the Eastern League were renamed the Worcester Quakers. The Worcester, MA team went 62-64 under manager Malachi Kittridge, finishing 5th in the EL. The offense was led by OF Homer Smoot (.356, .477 SLG, 81 runs, a league-best 37 doubles, the batting titlist) and OF Pat Carney (.289, .407 SLG, 32 SB, 87 R). Fred Klobedanz (19-16) had the best record. The next year, they became the Worcester Hustlers.
