Biographical Information[edit]

Woo-seok Ko pitched in the Korea Baseball Organization for 7 years.

Ko was drafted by the KIA Tigers in the first round of the 2003 KBO draft, and he was 3-1 with a 3.88 ERA in his first season. He slumped to a 9.90 ERA in 18 games in 2004, and he missed the next two seasons due to military service. He also represented South Korea in the 2005 Baseball World Cup, making his lone appearance as a pinch-runner. Go allowed 6 runs in 5 innings in 2007 after returning, and he pitched 13 games with a 5.49 ERA in 2008. He never had more than 10 appearances with the big club, and he announced his retirement in 2012.

Overall, Ko was 4-7 with a 5.77 ERA and struck out 105 in 132 2/3 innings in 7 seasons in the KBO.
