Winter Park
Winter Park served as the home of the Ogdensburg Colts from 1936-39. Located in Ogdensburg, NY, the team had a left field about 260' away but it was 386' to right and 450' to center. The park only seated 1,800 and the team eventually left town due to the lack of lighting. Prior to 1936, it had been an ice skating rink run by a local church. The grandstand roof once collapsed during a game. Lights were later installed for the Ogdensburg Maples. After that team left, the park became known as Father Martin Park after the man who had run the ice skating rink and was active with the Colts club.
