Biographical Information[edit]
Winfried Berkvens became a Hoofdklasse umpire in 1998. He has worked numerous international tournaments, including the 2005 Baseball World Cup, 2007 European Junior Championship, 2008 European Championship Qualifiers, 2009 Baseball World Cup, 2010 European Cup, 2011 European Cup, 2011 European Junior Championship, 2012 European Championship, 2013 B-Level European Championship, 2014 European Cup, 2015 European Cup, 2015 Premier 12, 2016 European Cup, 2016 European Championship, 2017 World Baseball Classic and 2018 European Champions Cup. Off the diamond, he has been a colonel in the Dutch Army Reserves and has worked as a system platform analyst for Phillips Lighting.
