Wills
- Bats Unknown, Throws Unknown
Biographical Information[edit]
What is odd about the player simply known by the last name of Wills is that he played for two different teams during the 1884 season. He hit .133 in 4 games for the Washington Nationals of the American Association and .143 in 5 games for the Kansas City Cowboys of the Union Association. He was an outfielder and the two stints were a couple of months apart. Of the 40 or so players for whom no first name is recorded, almost all played only one or two games for a single team, which makes Wills stand out, and hints that he may have had a slightly more substantial career outside of his brief time in the majors. However, nothing further is known about him.
