William Humber

Biographical Information[edit]
William Humber is a historian and member of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. He resides in Bowmanville, ON.
Humber was the only Canadian to serve on the board of directors of SABR (1982-1983, 1989) and is the author of Cheering for the Home Team (1983), Let's Play Ball (1989), [he Baseball Book and Trophy (1993) and Diamonds of the North (1995). He was inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004, won the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal and was elected to the Black Ice Hockey and Sports Hall of Fame as a writer. He serves on the selection committee for Canada's Sports Hall of Fame.
In 2018, he made the Canadian Baseball Hall alongside Expos star Pedro Martinez and Blue Jays star Lloyd Moseby.
