William Barr managed and played for the Aston Villa club of the National League of Baseball of Great Britain in 1890. He led the club to a first place finish that year with a record of 17 wins and 8 losses and a winning percentage of .680.
His teammate, Frank Barr is possibly a relative of his, though little information exists on either man.
