Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Weston Burnette played in the Cincinnati Reds system in 2001.

He was originally drafted by the Houston Astros in the 33rd round of the 2000 amateur draft out of high school, a few picks ahead of Tony Gwynn, Jr., but did not sign. He was then taken by the Reds in the 27th round of the 2001 amateur draft.

The Belgian-born hurler pitched for the Rookie-level GCL Reds in 2001, going 2-1 with an 8.49 ERA in 10 relief appearances.
