Wesseling Vermins

After being relegated to the district league (Bundesliga-2) in 2012, it was decided to regroup the Wesseling Vermins for the coming season and to initiate a fresh start. In the years that followed, the team was able to fight its way up to the top of German baseball. In 2018, after a successful season in the 2nd Bundesliga North-West, the team was promoted to the 1st Baseball Bundesliga. In their season in Bundesliga-1, they were led on offense by 3B/SS Patrick Cromwell (.298/.496/.524) while Sam Bélisle-Springer was their top hurler at 1-10, 5.11; no one else was under 9 in ERA. The team was then relegated to the second tier where they have stayed since 2020.
