Biographical Information[edit]
Wes Flowers served in the U.S. Navy during World War II (BN). In 1940 he pitched in 5 games for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the National League and in 1944 pitched in 9 more for the same team.
Flowers had a decent ERA in his first stint but not in his second. As a batter, he ended up with a major league lifetime batting average of .400.
His main pitch was the knuckleball, according to the Rob Neyer website.
