Werner Harrasser pitched for the Austrian national team in the 2007 European Championship. He allowed 15 hits, 8 walks and 12 runs in 10 1/3 IP, taking the loss against the German national team in which both Dominik Wulf and Robert Gruber homered. In the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers, the right-hander gave up 5 runs in 8 innings in a loss to the Belgian national team.

In 2011, he reached the record mark of 1,000 strikeouts in Austria's highest league (the Austrian Baseball League).
