Biographical Information[edit]
Wentao Zhang has played for the Chinese national team.
In the 2022 Asian Games, he debuted as a replacement for Yun Lu at 2B when Lu moved to 3B during a rout of Laos. He batted twice in the 5th, grounding out against Yayua Wa and drawing a walk from Natpakone Phialouanglath before the game ended due to the mercy rule. He finished the Games 0-for-8 with the one walk and fielded .909. [1]
