Biographical Information[edit]
Wen-Yu Wu was an infielder in Taiwan's amateur leagues.
Wu played for Taiwan in the 1985 World Junior Championship, 1990 Haarlem Baseball Week and 1993 Asian Championship. Wu hit .281/.343/.375 for Taiwan in the 1994 Baseball World Cup, scoring a team-high 8 runs in 8 games. He played mostly second base.
Wu also played in the 1994 Asian Games, 1995 Asian Championship and 1997 World Port Tournament. In the 2001 Asian Championship, he was honored as the top second baseman.
Wu later coached for the Taiwan national team, including in the 2008 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, 2008 Haarlem Baseball Week and 2009 Baseball World Cup.
