Biographical Information[edit]
Wei Dong has been a catcher for the Beijing Tigers in the China Baseball League. He played for the Chinese national team in the 2012 Asia Series. In the 2013 World Baseball Classic, Dong backed up fellow Beijing teammate Wei Wang at catcher. He made one appearance, batting for Fujia Chu in the 9th inning of a 5-2 loss to Japan. Coming up with one on and two out, he struck out against Tetsuya Yamaguchi.
