Biographical Information[edit]

Wei-Hung Lin played in the CPBL for 2 years. His brother has played in the CPBL.

Lin hit .292/.414/.292 for Taiwan in the 2008 Haarlem Baseball Week. He then appeared in the 2008 World University Championship. He batted .292/.357/.458 as the Taiwan DH in the 2009 World Port Tournament. In the 2009 Asian Championship, he hit the 9th-inning game-winning double against South Korea to help Taiwan win a Silver Medal. Lin was drafted by the Sinon Bulls in the second round of the 2008 CPBL Draft, and he played in 2009 for their minor league team. He made it to the parent club in 2010, and he ended up hitting .200/.261/.200 in 11 games. He played 54 games in 2011, but he slumped to .188/.197/.234. Lin never had another chance with the big club, and he was released after the 2013 season.

Overall, Lin hit .190/.213/.226 with 16 hits in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
