Biographical Information[edit]
Signed by the St. Louis Cardinals as an amateur free agent in 1942, Wayne McLeland served in the Army during World War II, missing the 1943 through 1945 seasons.
McLeland holds the record for most career appearances without recording a strikeout. He appeared in 10 games, striking out zero batters over 13 2/3 innings and walking 10.
