Walt Walker played major league ball on May 8, 1884 for the 1884 Detroit Wolverines, appearing at catcher and getting one hit in four at-bats.
Charlie Bennett, the regular catcher for the Wolverines, was the strongest hitter on the team that year.
Walker was born and died in Michigan.
He also played for Minneapolis and Oswego.
