Biographical Information[edit]
Wallace Fessenden was a National League umpire in 1889 and 1890. He then took over the managerial reins of the Syracuse Stars for the last 11 games of the 1890 season before the team folded, losing a lot of money for its owner. He was also a manager in the minor leagues, leading the London Tecumsehs also in 1889 and 1890, but noit for a full season either year. He had previously managed the Lynn team of the Massachusetts State Association in 1884 and the Salem Fairies of the New England League for part of 1887.
