Wade Simoneaux
Wade Simoneaux is a college coach.
A third baseman during his playing days, Simoneaux was head coach at Ascension Catholic High School from 1986-1989, then was an assistant at East Ascension High School in 1989-1990. He was head coach at Episcopal High School from 1990-1995.
From 1996-2002, he was assistant coach (recruiting coordinator, hitting coach, infield coach) at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The team went to the 2000 College World Series.
A three-time finalist for the head coaching job at Louisiana Tech University (1996, 1999, 2002), Simoneaux finally landed that position in '02. He was named Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2007. After 7 seasons in that role, he was 175-213.
