Wade Hampton Academy was formerly located in Orangeburg, SC where it opened in 1964 as a private school designed to evade desegregation policies. In 1986, it merged with its main rival, Willington Academy, created under similar circumstances, to form the current Orangeburg Preparatory Schools. Bill Spiers went here.
