Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Vince Zawaski played in the New York Mets system in 1988 and 1989. With the Kingsport Mets in 1988, he slashed .284/.391/.523 with 16 home runs and 67 RBI in 72 games. He won the Appalachian League MVP Award that year, leading in home runs and RBI. Between the St. Lucie Mets and Columbia Mets in 1989, he slashed .223/.331/.330 with 6 home runs and 33 RBI in 106 games. Overall, he batted .251/.358/.418 with 22 home runs and 100 RBI in 178 games.
