Biographical Information

Pitcher Vince Valentini was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 17th round of the 1977 amateur draft. With the GCL Cubs that year, he led the Gulf Coast League with a 0.98 ERA, and the next season with the Pompano Beach Cubs, he was 12-3 with a 2.42 ERA. However, he never reached the majors. He briefly pitched at AAA, going 1-3 with a 7.84 ERA for Wichita in 1980.
