Biographical Information[edit]
Vince Lloyd was a longtime radio broadcaster for the Chicago Cubs, working alongside Hall of Famer Lou Boudreau. From 1954 to 1964, he had partnereed with Jack Brickhouse on Cubs and Chicago White Sox telecasts on WGN. In 1965, he replaced Cubs play-by-play announcer Jack Quinlan who had died in an automobile accident during spring training. He would remain in the job for 23 years, until 1987, although he returned periodically after that, subbing for Harry Caray when he was unable to work.
