Victor Samchuk has played for Russia in international competition.

Samchuk was 10 for 26 with two doubles, 7 runs, 3 walks, 5 RBI, 5 steals in 6 tries, one outfield assist and no errors in the 2007 European Junior Championship. He was 0 for 5 in the Gold Medal Game as Russia fell to Italy. Samchuk was 0 for 9 with a walk and six whiffs for Tornado Balashika in the 2008 European Cup then 2 for 6 for the North Stars Moscow in the 2011 European Cup. In the 2011 European Championship Qualifiers, he put on a show for the Russian national team, going 7 for 11 with 3 walks, 4 steals (in 4 tries), 3 runs and 3 RBI in four games as Russia won a spot in the 2012 European Championship. He finished second in the qualifier in average (behind Sergey Solovev), led in OBP, tied for the best slugging, tied Solovev for second in runs (behind Maxim Monakhov), tied Alexander Vasiliev for second in hits (one behind Solovev), led in total bases, was second to Solovev in RBI and led in steals. He was named the tournament's MVP.
