Biographical Information[edit]
Victor Rosario is not to be confused with a number of other players named "Victor Rosario", and one even with the same mother's name, "Victor Rosario Rivera". He is the only one of the group to make it to the major leagues, however.
He played only one season in the majors, going 1 for 7 in 9 games for the Atlanta Braves at the end of the 1990 season, but was involved in a number of trades. Originally signed by the Boston Red Sox in December of 1993, he was sent to the Montreal Expos on August 31, 1988 in return for P John Trautwein. At the end of spring training in 1989, he was sent to the Philadelphia Phillies in return for minor league P Tim Sossamon, the just before he made his big league debut with the Braves, he was traded along with P Jeff Parrett in return for iconic OF Dale Murphy. Finally, in June of 1991, he was sent to the Detroit Tigers for P Dan Petry.
