Biographical Information[edit]

Victor Moreno is not to be confused with Victor Moreno, although both pitched in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, in the 2012 Mexican League and for Fortitudo Bologna in the Italian Baseball League.

This Victor Moreno was 0-2 with two saves and a 4.71 ERA for the 2004 AZL Angels and 1-2 with a 3.96 ERA for the 2006 Swing of the Quad Cities. In the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, Moreno pitched one game, allowing four hits, 3 walks and one run in five innings against Mexico (the run came when Jesus Castillo drove in Efren Espinoza) but took the loss in a 3-2 decision as his offense had not scored while he was on the hill (despite several major leaguers in the lineup).

He impressed someone in Mexico with the outing, though, and got a chance with the 2011 Oaxaca Warriors, his first minor league appearances in five years. He had a 8-5, 5.06 record that year. With the 2012 Saltillo Saraperos, he went 1-2 with a 3.94 ERA. He began 2013 with Bologna in Italy, going 2-0 with a 3.68 ERA before elbow problems cut his season short; Roger Luque replaced him on the staff.
