Biographical Information[edit]
"As for Cruz, he once told me 'You know, umpires never like me. Those umpires, they are vampires.' Cruz was also the only ballplayer I ever saw who had tattoos on the inside of his fingers and the tops of his thighs." - Terry Pluto, The Curse of Rocky Colavito
Victor Cruz was involved in separate trades for Bert Blyleven, Alfredo Griffin, and Pete Vuckovich: all before his 23rd birthday. He pitched for the Dominican national team in the 1975 Pan American Games.
