Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder/first baseman Victor Bericoto was signed by the San Francisco Giants organization as an international free agent on July 2, 2018. His career got underway the following summer with the DSL Giants and he tore up the Dominican Summer League. A .344 batting average, 15 doubles and a .956 OPS earned him a late-season look with the AZL Giants Orange, where he hit.273 in five games.

He returned to action in 2021 after the minor leagues were on hiatus during the "Summer of Covid" in 2020. He spent most of the season on the 60-day injured list and only played seven games for the two Giants teams in the Arizona Complex League. Still, he was moved up to full-season ball with the Fresno Grizzlies of the low-A California League for the 2022 season. Even though he struck out 108 times in 423 at bats, he turned in a more-than-respectable .265/.353/.395 slash line.

The Giants moved him up again, and he began 2023 in high-A with the Eugene Emeralds. His .270/.347/.429 April slash line eclipsed his previous season in Fresno, but he ended the month with a modest four-game hitting streak in which he went 7-16 and proceeded to hit .314 in the month of May with a .520 slugging percentage. He hit 6 doubles and 5 home runs in May, and followed that by smacking 8 round-trippers and slugging .602 in June.
