Vickie Panos played a single season in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in 1944. Signed by the South Bend Blue Sox, she quickly moved to the Milwaukee Chicks. In her single season, she was one of the offensive stars for the eventual league champions, swiping 141 bases in 115 games - second most in the league behind Sophie Kurys. She hit .263/~.367/.266 with just one extra-base hit in 403 AB. She scored 84 runs and fielded .978 in the outfield. She was sixth in the AAGPBL in average, fifth in hits (106) and second in runs behind only Kurys. In the 1944 Scholarship Series, Panos hit .214 and scored five runs and stole 7 bases for the champs.
