Biographical Information[edit]

Vern Fuller is the executive director of the Baseball Heritage Museum in Cleveland, OH. A former major leaguer, he played six seasons for the Cleveland Indians during the second dead-ball era. He was primarily a second baseman.

Baseball averages were at historic lows in the 1960s. For example, when Fuller hit .242 in 1968, he was 12 points higher than the American League average batting average.
