Biographical Information[edit]
Vania Cabrera played for Cuba at the 2006 Women's Baseball World Cup. She hit .412/.476/.588 with a run and 5 RBI in 6 games, fielding .818 as the starting right fielder for Cuba. She led her team in average, OBP, slugging and RBI. She was 11th in the tournament in slugging and missed the top 10 in RBI by one. Despite that fine performance, she did not play for Cuba again until the 2015 Pan American Games. The team's oldest player (over 2 years older than #2 Yadira López), the 32-year-old was 2 for 9 with a double and played error-free ball as Cuba's main first basewoman.
