Biographical Information[edit]

Shortstop Vance Kidwell played for the Lexington Giants of the Kentucky-Illinois-Tennessee League in 1937, hitting .191 with a home run and .234 slugging percentage in 51 games he fielded .935. He later served in the Army during World War II, reaching Staff Seargant and fighting in the Battle of the Bulge as well as many other battles. After baseball, he was a farmer and a carpenter.
