Biographical Information[edit]
Van Patrick played baseball, basketball and football in college. He was an announcer for the Cleveland Indians in 1948 and then spent 1949 and 1952-1959 with the Detroit Tigers; he was replaced by Ernie Harwell. He worked the 1948 World Series.
