Biographical information

Ultus Alvarez was a minor league outfielder who spent 13 seasons in the minor leagues from 1952 to 1964. Though he played at the AAA level in five of those 13 seasons, he never reached the major leagues.

In 1953, with the Thomasville Dodgers, he had a career-high 21 triples, which led the Georgia-Florida League. With the Havana Sugar Kings in 1957, he hit a career-high 18 home runs despite batting only .238.

Overall, he hit around .278 with at least 142 home runs, 269 doubles and 104 triples in his career.
