Biographical Information[edit]

Ulises Ormeño debuted for the Chilean national team at age 16 in the 2018 South American Championship, having played for them in youth tournaments prior to that. In his lone game for the Bronze Medalists, he relieved fellow 16-year-old Luciano Echeverría with a 14-5 lead in the 7th over Bolivia. He walked Ronald Quiroga but struck out Octavio Grass, got Yander Matos on a grounder and retired Daniel Monje on another grounder to end the mercy rule win.
