Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher/relief pitcher Tyler Blair began his professional career in 2019. To date, he has spent his whole career in the Pecos League, playing for the White Sands Pupfish (2019), Houston Apollos (2020), Trinidad Triggers (2021) and Austin Weirdos (2022). With the Pupfish, he tossed 10 2/3 innings, walking 24 batters and throwing 5 wild pitches. His WHIP was 3.750 and his ERA was 15.19. He posted the same WHIP in 2020, though his ERA rose to 18.56 in 5 1/3 innings. He brought his ERA down to 9.00 in 2021 and 5.89 in 2022; he was mostly a starter in 2022. Not much with the bat, he peaked with a .219 average in 2020.
He was also the Weirdos manager in 2022.
