Biographical Information[edit]
Tsukasa Komatsu pitched in the Japanese industrial leagues after college. He made the Japanese national team for the 2014 Asian Games. In the opener, he turned in two shutout innings against China (1 H, 0 BB, 3 K) and got the win. He was roughed up for 4 runs (2 earned) in 1/3 IP against Taiwan. He rebounded in the Bronze Medal Game, also against China, relieving Ryota Sekiya in the 7th and throwing 2/3 shutout innings before Katsutoshi Satake closed it out to give Japan the Bronze. He did wind up with Japan's highest ERA, more than double runner-up Takuaki Iguchi.
