Tse-Chun Wang pitched in the CPBL for 4 years.
Wang represented Taiwan in the 2011 World Youth Championship. He was drafted by the CTBC Brothers in the third round of the 2013 CPBL Draft, and he entered the rotation as a rookie. Wang collected his first career win on June 7 against Uni-President Lions, and on August 14, he became the youngest pitcher to get a win as a starter. He ended up 2-5 with a 4.64 ERA in 2014, and he pitched a shutout inning in the 2014 Taiwan Series Game 3. The Lamigo Monkeys beat the Brothers in 5 games. However, Wang's ERA rose to 9.49 in 7 games in 2015, and he never had another productive season in the rest of his career. Wang was 9-3 with a 4.55 ERA in the minor league in 2017, and he led the league in wins and ERA. He struggled with the big club as his ERA was 7.56 in 4 games, and he allowed 2 runs in 2017 Taiwan Series Game 2. The Monkeys beat the Brothers again in 5 games. Wang only pitched 3 more games with the big club in 2018, and he announced his retirement in 2021.
Overall, Wang was 3-8 with a 5.76 ERA, struck out 52 and pitched 100 innings in 4 seasons in the CPBL.
